Sandia Snowshoe Tour Details

When was the last time you experienced a calm, serene adventure atop a Desert Mountain Peak?

Join Routes Tours as we venture a ride along Albuquerque’s world-famous Aerial Tramway to the peak of the Sandia Mountains, where our trained naturalist guides lead you by snowshoe through pristine evergreen forests and soft, pillow-y snow to panoramic views of the Rio Grande Valley of Albuquerque, the Rocky Mountains of Santa Fe, and the unique volcanic fields of the Jemez!

This will be an adventure like no other, and you will have the photos to prove it!

• 2018 Dates: January 7 & 21, February 4
• Time: 1:00pm – 4:30pm
• Easy to Moderate. The terrain, trails and snowshoeing are all beginner level, however the altitude will be 10,000 ft and in winter conditions. No prior snowshoeing experience is necessary. Distance: 5mi round-trip along the Sandia Peak.
• Cost: $85-$95 pp adults & children over 12 (Includes Tram Ride). Space on these tours is limited, and tickets sell out quickly.
• Other: We recommend dressing warmly and wearing waterproof hiking boots or shoes. Our tour package includes snowshoes, telescoping poles, snow gaiters, and a carrying bag.
